2003 Nissan 350Z, Extremely Clean, 27k miles!! A/C! Good tires!Reduced – $1900
I responded to this ad on Craigslist and emailed the person at

brandiwoods47@gmail.com

I asked, why so cheap? They responded:
“We have a low price on our 2003 Nissan 350Z because we want to sell the car asap. The price is $1,900 including delivery to your home address. The car is in perfect condition, no electric problems, no accidents/liens/loans. The odometer shows 25,954 miles. Never been repainted. We have all the car manuals, title, documents and bill of sale on your name. We’re selling the car because our son died 4 months ago in a car accident. A drunk driver hit him. He was with his fiance’s car coming home. The car belonged to our son and it brings us bad memories and that’s the reason we want to sell it. The last price is $1,900. Me and my husband travel a lot with our business and we want to make this deal through eBay’s Buyer Protection Program. This runs and drives great and it has 3.5L V6 Engine, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering and Power Brakes.
If you need more photos or details feel free to ask.”

As well as sending me to a link of an anonymous users image site with stock photos. I goaded them for more information after already figuring this was a scam and received this email:

“Hi again the car is stored with all the paperwork in eBay warehouse number 28,in Des Moines, Iowa headquarters in container, sealed and ready for delivery. The transaction will be made thru eBay because they can protect both of us and they also offer 10 days inspection period. You’ll have 10 days to test/drive the car before decided to keep it or not. If the vehicle is not like I described you’ll ship it back on my expense and they will give you a full refund. eBay will hold the funds until you receive the car with all the papers work. Only after you confirm them that you wanna keep it they will release me the funds. In this way you will be able to inspect the vehicle before committing to buy it.

If you want to start the transaction with eBay reply me your full name, delivery address and your ph#no,then eBay will contact you with further instructions.

Thank you!”

I reported the email account to google as a sort of phishing scam but not sure what else I can do. They already removed their post from Craigslist. Nice touch with the dead son.
