OMG, word for word the same thing about the Air Force bases and eBay’s storage facility.  The ad was on Craig’s List from Smyrna GA, posted 6/14.  He? used fon number 203-443-1709.  I left him a voice mail and text on 6/18.  I received a text back tonite from 402-500-2217 asking for my email address so he could send me more details.

My radar was activated by the low price and I wondered why he was advertising in GA if he was in Omaha.  Also, I had never heard of eBay doing anything like this.

How do we get this dirtbag behind bars?

Just as everyone else I almost got scammed thanks god I woke up just wanting to look info about the deal.
I found the perfect deal on craiglist 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sahara for 2500 I texted the number they told me to email them so I did, gave me all the info even the VIN number wich I look up and everything was fine, then as it appears on the pictures they told bla bla ebay storage facility it’s paid bla bla shipping bla bla bla the money was handled by them bla bla, so I look up the company who was suppose to handled the money and the transactions it’s SquareTrade but I also saw that there where lots of scams made by people who used SquareTrade names, and the logos were different on the actual SquareTrade website the logo was red and blue and there was a phone number I call them and they told me they don’t work with cars only electronics (ipads, laptops etc) I look up the email from square trade and there was no phone number and they wanted me to send them the money by a money gran and the amount was different it was less but still suspicious and well bla bla it seem very weird i just type different part from the first email on google I even look up the scammers adress and saw the house wich is just a house for sale, and finally a typed ebay storage facily and all the emails and the same words appear so thanks god for this page. I had the cash on my bag everything happend in 1 day yesterday 06/19/2014.

2001 Jeep Sahara on Craiglist Scam. 2014

On 21 June 2014 I responded to an ad. The ad is on olx. I mailed Liam who also responded that the car was held in a container in Speingbok. He inherited it from his brother who died in a bike accident in South Africa. Since he is in Bulgaria, he cannot import the car due to high import tax.
Olx would facilitate the transactiion etc.
Please buyers, be wake up! I am going to try and track this thief! There are ways and means..
In the meantime, accept that if it sounds to good to be true, it certainly is!

I saw an rv on craiglist and contacted the phone number on the item and gave me an email address. julia801m@gmail.com, this person told she is going through a divorce and had to sell the rv cheap. She asked me for my info to send to ebay and that ebay would contact me. Well ebay did supposedly contacted me but i called ebay and provided all the info from the email and they did not find anything. I dont know how to post the email here. The person states that the item will not show on ebay because ebay is only dealing with the “money”.

My daughter found a car on Craigslist at a ridiculously good price. She contacted the seller by email and by what she said was a Google phone, where she left a message. She was contacted by text and sent additional pictures of the vehicle by email. She indicated she was very interested and seller said he would use eBay Motors to send an invoice and complete the transaction offering buyer protection services. Even said the price included freight. He indicated he was being transferred by the military and needed to sell. When she got the invoice, it looked good and offered eBay services. However, it was looking for payment via PayPal GreenDot cards. I called the included number, for her, and they answered as if eBay. When I questioned the payment method, they assured me it was a new secure way to pay and I was almost convinced it was legit. However, a quick check of how a GreenDot card should operate made me look into it a bit more. I discovered this is a new way for scammers to get untraceable payments. When I called the number again and questioned the method, they hung up on me. That phone number was 877-657-4638 and further calls from my phone indicated the number could not be called as dialed (I used redial so I knew it was not a problem with the dialing.) Using my cell phone, I also received a message that the call could not be completed, but I did get a call back from ‘eBay’ from 408-627-7735 and they left a message asking me to call back.
